Around us
Urbino and its Ducal Palace are half an hour away. The Furlo gorge, where the Roman Via Flaminia runs into the mountain, can be made out from the hills of the estate. The paths and beech woods of Monte Nerone and Monte Catria begin behind the houses, and so do the cool, restoring rivers. The sea is a little over half an hour away.
In the Metauro valley lies Urbania, Italy's town of the Befana — the old woman who brings children their presents on the night of the Epiphany. During the national Befana festival in early January she climbs down from the bell tower, and children leave their letters in her house beside it. The borgo is open in those days too: if you are looking for somewhere to stay for the Befana in Urbania, you will find seven stone houses here and the countryside all around.

Where we are
From there you climb: leave the main road at the sign and carry on up between fields and oaks to the hamlet, hidden in the green.
